Level 2/3 Practitioner


Scamps nursery based in Benson is looking to expand our staff team. We need a hard working and dedicated Level 2/3 practitioner to join our team offering a home from home environment.


The position is full time, Monday – Friday 8am – 6pm.


The successful candidate will:


  • Ensure that all the children are cared for in a safe and happy environment
  • Work as part of a team
  • Build solid partnerships with parents
  • Follow our policies and procedures
  • Complete any necessary training 
  • Deliver the curriculum based around the new EYFS
  • Ensure that learning and development for each child is delivered to high standard.
  • Will be subject to a DBS check

Requirements


  • Minimum Level 2/3 in childcare

Apprentice



Scamps are currently looking for an enthusiastic apprentice to join our successful team.


  • This role is open to practitioners who would like to gain a childcare qualification through a work based learning environment.
  • This is a full time position Mon - Fri 8am - 6pm.
  • We are committed to the practitioners' professional development and welcome applicants who are looking to further their career.
  • We provide internal support and arrange training to qualify at either NVQ level 2 or 3 through a local provider.
  • Please note that you need GCSE in both English and Maths or be prepared to re-sit them as part of your NVQ.

  • You would be working with age ranges 4 months - 11 years old.

Job Description


To provide high quality care and early years’ education for children at the nursery. Be familiar with the policies and procedures of the setting adhering to them at all times. Co-operate in the implementation of the health and safety policy and ensure that the nursery’s practice and environment meets health and safety standards.


Provide high quality care and activities for and children which recognise both individual and group requirements in a secure, safe and stimulating environment. Organise activities, both inside and outside the nursery, which encourages creativity, development, co-ordination, independence, self-expression, and learning through play.


Providing a fun and safe environment for children to grow learn and develop. Following Early Years Foundation stage learning guides to teach numeracy and literacy skills and encourage communication, confidence, and positive behaviour in the children.
